About me
Thank you for being here.
On this page I'll tell you a little more about myself, how painting found me, and what inspires me to pick up a brush again and again.
I am Edina Kovács, born in Budapest. My passion for creativity and harmony became apparent to me as a child. I started my professional career as a typographer, then as the creative director of several national weekly newspapers, I was able to experience my desires for visual harmony and a sense of beauty. For many years, aesthetics, attention to detail and the love of creation have played an important role in my work, but painting only really found its way to me later.
My son was born when I was 30, so the next two decades of my life were characterized by creating a loving family background, raising our son, and creating a peaceful, harmonious home.
In my fifties, I had more and more time for myself, self-development and spiritual renewal. That's when I started practicing yoga, which not only brought physical and mental balance to my life, but also gave me a completely new perspective. I became more open to new experiences, workshops and creative opportunities.
It was during one such workshop in 2024 that I first encountered acrylic painting. This experience had such a profound impact on me that I almost immediately acquired all the necessary painting tools, and from that moment on, painting became a defining part of my life.
Since then, I have been painting on a weekly basis, often producing several paintings in a week. Painting for me is joy, freedom, relaxation and self-expression all at once. Each of my paintings contains a mood, a feeling or an inner moment that I want to convey to others.
Over the years, I have created many paintings, many of which have been given as gifts to family, friends, and acquaintances. However, over time, I felt that I wanted to share these works more widely and bring the joy, harmony, and positive energy that art brings to my home to others.
That's why I created this website, where I lovingly share my paintings with all those who are looking for special, soulful works of art for their homes.
I hope that my pictures will give you as much joy and inspiration as creating them does to me.
